A brown bullhead catfish is a freshwater fish known for its smooth, mottled brown body, broad flat head, and square tail. It is a hardy, nocturnal bottom-feeder with a keen sense of smell that helps it find food in murky waters.  In some special selective genes, there are the Marble Browns. Meaning it has a nice marble pattern color. It may look very similar to a black bullhead, which can easily be mistaken but can also be easily distinguished by the marble color. But don't take for granted, because some black hullheads inherit the marble patterns, too. Depending on its water quality and environment, the main color can be yellow, brown, black or dark brown followed by its quality or faded marble patterns depending on its genes.
